Das war der Schl\u00fcsselmoment, als sich Johannes entschied, \u00fcber Quinoa zu forschen und vor allem, herauszufinden, ob sich das Pseudo-Getreide nicht auch in Deutschland anbauen lie\u00dfe. Zusammen mit Mitgr\u00fcnder Simon, war nach dem Master-Studium schnell klar, dass das der Fall ist.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Wir\u00a0 erwischten den letzten Erntetag der Saison. Besonders an hei\u00dfen, trockenen Tagen muss die Quinoa schnell vom Feld geholt werden. Feuchtigkeit ist hier der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Feind, da sie die empfindliche Ernte sofort sch\u00e4digen k\u00f6nnte &#8211; eine echte Herausforderung, in diesem nassen Sommer. Das Besondere an Johannes\u2019 Methode: Die Quinoa wird nach der Ernte direkt getrocknet und nicht gewaschen. Das spart nicht nur enorme Mengen an Wasser, sondern ben\u00f6tigt auch sehr wenig Energie. Dieser Prozess verhindert Schimmelbildung und bereitet die K\u00f6rner perfekt auf die weitere Verarbeitung vor, ohne die Umwelt unn\u00f6tig zu belasten.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">Der Landwirt erz\u00e4hlt uns, dass die Nachfrage nach Quinoa in Europa und vor allem Deutschland, schon vor \u00fcber 10 Jahren begann und dass dies die Landwirte in den Anden-Regionen in gro\u00dfe wirtschaftliche Schwierigkeiten gebracht hat. Gro\u00dffl\u00e4chige Anbaugebiete wurden geschaffen, um die immer steigende Nachfrage aus dem Ausland zu bedienen, wobei sich lokale Wirtschaftsstrukturen so stark veschoben haben, dass Quinoa als Grundnahrungsmittel fast nicht mehr erschwinglich ist.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">Johannes und Simon haben sich f\u00fcr eine Produkterweiterung entschieden, so dass sich in ihrem Sortiment mittlerweile innovative Produkte wie vegane Bolognese oder knuspriges Quinoa-M\u00fcsli finden \u2013 allesamt Beweise daf\u00fcr, wie vielseitig das regionale Korn einsetzbar ist.
