Pero la misi\u00f3n de Rainforest Alliance, nos cuenta Juliana, va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 que la de certificar. Esta organizaci\u00f3n sin animo de lucro, se centra en la construcci\u00f3n de alianzas, como su propio nombre indica, \u201cpara proteger los bosques y la biodiversidad, tomar acciones sobre el clima, promover los derechos y mejorar los medios de vida de la poblaci\u00f3n rural, con el objetivo de crear un mundo donde las personas y la naturaleza prosperen juntas.\u201d<\/em>

Desde Rainforest Alliance, ven la transici\u00f3n hacia la agricultura regenerativa como un viaje, cuyo punto de partida es la agricultura convencional. Las etapas de este viaje, se dividen en eficiencia, sustituci\u00f3n y redise\u00f1o. Es decir, reducir la utilizaci\u00f3n de insumos primero, sustituirlos por insumos menos nocivos y org\u00e1nicos despu\u00e9s, y por \u00faltimo, el redise\u00f1o total del sistema en el que no se dependa de insumos.\u00a0\u00a0
