Las sequ\u00edas avanzan hacia el norte, las inundaciones se intensifican en el sur, y los suelos \u2014compactados y degradados por la agricultura convencional\u2014 ya no pueden retener la lluvia que todav\u00eda cae. A esto se suma que la escorrent\u00eda de fertilizantes y pesticidas ha contaminado un tercio de las aguas europeas, con un coste de miles de millones en limpieza. La agricultura convencional no solo es vulnerable a los extremos clim\u00e1ticos: los est\u00e1 agravando. <br \/><br \/><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>La buena noticia es que los suelos sanos act\u00faan como esponjas. Un aumento del 1% en materia org\u00e1nica permite que una hect\u00e1rea de tierra almacene 75.000 litros m\u00e1s de agua y mejore las tasas de infiltraci\u00f3n hasta en un 256%. Fincas como La Junquera, BioSanz y Tropiterr\u00e1neo ya lo est\u00e1n demostrando: absorbiendo inundaciones, reduciendo a la mitad las necesidades de riego e incluso devolviendo la vida a embalses antes est\u00e9riles<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Una visi\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia<\/strong><br \/><br \/><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>La seguridad h\u00eddrica no depende solo de la lluvia o de los embalses, sino de c\u00f3mo cultivamos.
