Ese fue el momento clave en el que Johannes decidi\u00f3 investigar sobre la quinoa y, sobre todo, averiguar si este pseudocereal no podr\u00eda cultivarse tambi\u00e9n en Alemania. Junto con el cofundador Simon, tras el m\u00e1ster qued\u00f3 claro r\u00e1pidamente que s\u00ed era posible.  <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Pillamos el \u00faltimo d\u00eda de cosecha de la temporada. Especialmente en d\u00edas calurosos y secos, la quinoa tiene que sacarse del campo r\u00e1pido. La humedad es el mayor enemigo, ya que podr\u00eda da\u00f1ar de inmediato la delicada cosecha: todo un reto en este verano tan h\u00famedo. Lo especial del m\u00e9todo de Johannes: tras la cosecha, la quinoa se seca directamente y no se lava. Esto no solo ahorra enormes cantidades de agua, sino que tambi\u00e9n requiere muy poca energ\u00eda. Este proceso evita la formaci\u00f3n de moho y prepara los granos perfectamente para el procesamiento posterior, sin cargar innecesariamente al medio ambiente.     <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">El agricultor nos cuenta que la demanda de quinoa en Europa y, sobre todo, en Alemania, empez\u00f3 ya hace m\u00e1s de 10 a\u00f1os, y que esto ha puesto a los agricultores de las regiones andinas en grandes dificultades econ\u00f3micas. Se crearon grandes zonas de cultivo para satisfacer la demanda cada vez mayor del extranjero, y las estructuras econ\u00f3micas locales se han desplazado tanto que la quinoa, como alimento b\u00e1sico, casi ya no es asequible. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">Johannes y Simon han optado por ampliar su oferta, de modo que en su cat\u00e1logo ya se encuentran productos innovadores como una bolo\u00f1esa vegana o un muesli crujiente de quinoa, pruebas de lo vers\u00e1til que puede ser este grano regional.
