La douce musique de la terre<\/p>\n

Dans la gamme des agriculteurs, Gabriel Willem d\u00e9tonne. \u00c0 la fois musicien et mara\u00eecher, il pratique ces deux activit\u00e9s dans ses Jardins En-chantants<\/a>. D\u00e9couverte du chef d\u2019orchestre des l\u00e9gumes, lors d\u2019un de ses repas-concerts \u201cUn samedi soir sur la terre\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

\u00c0 Herrlisheim, un petit village alsacien situ\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de Colmar, un hectare de terrain se d\u00e9marque des champs voisins. Sur ce bout de terre se dressent plusieurs serres, dont certaines fix\u00e9es sur des rails ont la particularit\u00e9 d’\u00eatre mobiles pour s’adapter \u00e0 la saisonnalit\u00e9. \u00c0 c\u00f4t\u00e9, une multitude de fruits et l\u00e9gumes poussent au grand air : potirons, p\u00e2tissons, ou encore raisin, tous issus de vari\u00e9t\u00e9s non hybrides F1.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ce soir, Gabriel Willem, le mara\u00eecher \u00e0 l’origine de ces Jardins En-chantants fait le tour du propri\u00e9taire aux curieux qui souhaitent conna\u00eetre son histoire. \u00c0 l’int\u00e9rieur de la serre o\u00f9 s’engouffre le groupe, les derni\u00e8res tomates de la saison sont encore rouges et charnues. J’aime bien venir dans ces serres la nuit car j’ai l’impression que les v\u00e9g\u00e9taux reprennent leurs droits, qu’il y a comme une pr\u00e9sence<\/em>, sourit le n\u00e9o-paysan totalement dans son \u00e9l\u00e9ment. Originaire du village, Gabriel Willem n’a pas toujours travaill\u00e9 la terre. \u00c0 18 ans, il quitte l’Alsace pour\u00a0rejoindre la capitale et suivre une formation de com\u00e9dien aux cours Simon. Pendant pr\u00e8s de huit ans, il encha\u00eene les gros projets qui le m\u00e8nent aussi bien au cin\u00e9ma, au th\u00e9\u00e2tre qu’\u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Contre-champ<\/h3>\n

Lorsqu’il parle de sa profession aujourd’hui, Willem se d\u00e9crit comme musicien-mara\u00eecher<\/em>. J’ai toujours voulu lier l’agriculture et la culture. En revenant sur les terres o\u00f9 j’ai pass\u00e9 mon enfance, je ne savais pas ce que j’allais faire de ce terrain communal que j’avais l’opportunit\u00e9 de louer. Je me suis finalement dit que de m’installer, c’\u00e9tait un bon moyen de lui donner un peu de r\u00e9pit et que ce serait au moins \u00e7a que le ma\u00efs n’aurait pas<\/em> (ici, dans la r\u00e9gion, le ma\u00efs occupe 40 % de la surface agricole disponible, ndlr). Cultiver la terre est un message militant que veut faire passer ce passionn\u00e9 qui travaille entre 70 \u00e0 80 heures chaque semaine \u00e0 la belle saison, sans pouvoir toutefois se d\u00e9gager un salaire.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00c0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de cette activit\u00e9, le trentenaire donne des cours de piano et organise une partie de l’ann\u00e9e, avec sa compagne costumi\u00e8re, les samedis soir sur la terre. Il propose le temps d’une soir\u00e9e de partager un repas puis, cerise sur le dessert, d’assister \u00e0 un concert en plein air.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sous la tente, les effluves du repas commencent \u00e0 parvenir jusqu’aux narines des convives. Difficile de proposer un repas plus local puisque les l\u00e9gumes cuisin\u00e9s proviennent directement de sa production. Dans les assiettes color\u00e9es, une part de pizza maison, du chou kale en salade et des pommes de terre. Vin bio, bi\u00e8re locale et tisanes au thym sont servis aux invit\u00e9s qui s’attablent par petits groupes. Edwige est venue de Colmar avec sa fille L\u00e9a pour profiter de la soir\u00e9e aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d’un couple d’amis.<\/p>\n

J’aime ce genre d’ambiance particuli\u00e8re o\u00f9 il y a une v\u00e9ritable coh\u00e9sion. \u00c7a me rappelle les moments lorsque j’\u00e9tais enfant et que j’allais \u00e0 la foire bio de Rouffach, il y avait une ambiance similaire. \u00c7a donne toujours une \u00e9nergie particuli\u00e8re lorsque l’on retrouve des sensations li\u00e9es \u00e0 l’enfance<\/em>, raconte-t-elle en se d\u00e9lectant de son repas. Arrive le dessert, des cr\u00eapes accompagn\u00e9es au choix de confiture fraise-basilic ou cerise-lavande. Edwige opte pour les fruits du jardin et revient avec un petit bol de physalis, \u00e0 la chair douce et sucr\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u00ab Paysan et fier de l’\u00eatre \u00bb<\/h3>\n

Une fois les assiettes termin\u00e9es et les tables d\u00e9barrass\u00e9es, l’assembl\u00e9e se tourne vers la sc\u00e8ne improvis\u00e9e. Le piano \u00e0 queue de Gabriel est install\u00e9 face au public. S’en suit plus d’une heure de show o\u00f9 le musicien m\u00eale improvisation au piano et morceaux de son cru. Au moment o\u00f9 il entonne son dernier titre Paysan et fier de l’\u00eatre<\/em>, les enfants du premier rang se mettent spontan\u00e9ment \u00e0 l’accompagner. Parmi eux, Anicet, 13 ans, vient pour la premi\u00e8re fois assister \u00e0 un concert, mais conna\u00eet bien l\u2019artiste. On l’a rencontr\u00e9 au march\u00e9,<\/em> explique sa m\u00e8re. Anicet m’a demand\u00e9 cet \u00e9t\u00e9 s’il pouvait venir l’aider.
